Park Activities
Oleander Acres RV Park is located in the beautiful Texas town of Mission, and is a great spot for an authentic southern escape. Onsite, travelers can expect great dancing, golfing, butterfly-watching, birding, fishing, hiking, biking, shuffleboard, historic sightseeing, off-roading and diving.
Just beyond the campground are a number of excellent attractions for visitors and locals alike to enjoy. Some camper favorites include: Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park for hiking, biking and birding, the McAllen Nature Center, Old Hidalgo Pumphouse Museum, World Birding Center, Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park and the National Butterfly Center. there’s also the La Lomita Mission, Mission Historical Museum and the The Butterfly Garden At Oleander Acres. Campers can take advantage of the area’s excellent local eateries, breweries and pubs.
Every Tuesday is Jam Day for local musicians to showcase their talents in our recreation hall.
Weekly classes in speaking Spanish, computer usage, line dancing, watercolor and arts and crafts are available. There are plenty of organized activities offered every week that include bowling, Cribbage, Euchre, Dominoes and Billiards (Pool) are scheduled regularly, as well as Bible Study and Special Suppers.
Every weekday morning conversation and coffee can be enjoyed for 10 cents, or join the daily exercise class.
